Manila Megastack 5 begins today at PokerStars Live Manila

The time has finally arrived! The doors have been opened for the fifth installment of the Manila Megastack at PokerStars Live Manila. This six-day poker festival will be held at the Grand Ballroom of City of Dreams Manila, and as advertised, this event promises to be bigger and better with 11 exciting events in the roster, namely the P6M Guaranteed Main Event and ten action-packed side events.
The Manila Megastack has crowned four victors in 2015, Korea's Joo-Han Lee, Korea's Mike Kim, Filipino Euryd Rivera, and Japan's Tetsuya Tsuchikawa. With a much bigger prize pool guaranteed for this series, the eventual champion here will surely be scooping up a very large piece of the cash pie.
Warming up the tables is the P2M Guaranteed Kickoff event which begins on Wednesday, May 3, 2016. Buy-in is P10,000 with unlimited re-entries until the end of eight rounds (4 hours). Cards start flying at 1pm for Flight 1, and then Flight 2 takes off at 6pm. For those looking to have a faster structure, there will also be a Turbo Flight for this event at 10pm. And if you are feeling very lucky today, the one-handed no skill necessary Flipout format of this event is at 11pm. Players should be happy to know that all qualifiers into tomorrow's Kickoff Final Day will be in the money with a guarantee of P20,000 already profited. Additionally, the top two finishers will be receiving a Main Event entry seat to the biggest international poker event in the country, the Asia Pacific Poker Tour 10 Manila (APPT). Each seat is worth P50,000 and will be deducted from the prize pool.
Action is now underway. We will be posting random live updates of the P2M Kickoff event on another post, so stand by for that.
*At 4pm, there will be a Main Event Satellite. Entry fee is P3,000.
