Biography
Hey I am 20 years old and finally done with school, so now I will take on the challenge of trying to live of online poker, while qualifying for the 4 Unibet Open events a year as well as my only live play. My goal is firstly to get to as high online stakes as possible and I will hopefully get to a point where I can player some of the major live tournaments around the world as well.
#UnibetBubble #Decision4
4th decision:
This is a new hand.
A few minutes after the one you played previously. Now there are only 2 players to bust before the bubble.
The blinds are still 500/1000.
In UTG+1, a player who likes to see a lot of flops opens with 2.2BB. He has 30,000 chips in his stack.
UTG+2, with a 90BB stack, calls.
You have now 34BB. In the BB position, you call with J♦8♦.
FLOP:
10♠3♦Q♦
You check.
Villain UTG+1 bets 5,000 chips.
UTG+2 folds.
What do you do?
We hit the flop really hard with a gut shot and a flushdraw, usually I would check-raise all-in in this spot, however we are on the bubble and should proceed more cautiously.
So even though he is making a fairly big bet on the flop I would call with the assumption to win when the hand when I hit a 9 for a straight or a diamond for a flush, and we even have some implied odds that we can get his whole stack when we actually hit our outs if let's say he have an overpair and won't let go of it. If we don't hit our straight or flush on the turn and he bets big, we can just fold and still have a fine 26,8 BB stack to play with, but there is also the possibility that the turn will go check-check when we miss our draw, which gives us a free river to hit again which is great for us.

3rd decision:
The blinds are 500/1000.
A player just sat at the table with a 43 BB stack. In middle position, he limps in.
Everyone else folds to you, in the cut-off.
You have 37 BB in front of you and A♣7♠ in your hands.
You raise 2.6BB.
Villain calls.
Flop:
J♦ K♥ J♠
You both check.
Turn:
A♥
Villain checks.
When you put 3,000 chips in the middle, villain instantly calls.
River:
9♦
And again, villain checks.
What do you do?
We know he limp called and assume he have a weak range overall. it goes check-check on the flop. the turn he checks again to call, on the turn I would assume he would bet out if he had an A, a J, or QT for a straight, however he could have chosen to check-raise a J or QT as well, but I don't think he will just check-call with those hands on the turn. So with this asumptions he most likely have a K and some times have a low A that we will chop with since we both have AAJJK then.
So since we most likely are up against a K or a chop, I like to make a small 1/3 pot bet to make it as easy for him as possible to try hero call me with a K, it is still even possible he have a small pocket pair, however he is most likely folding to any bet at this point.

I think the best could be just chesk after few seconds thinking and if the oponent did little bet should call him.

magine: You are close to the bubble in the Unibet Open Cannes. There are only 3 players to bust out before getting to the money!
2nd decision:

Villain calls.
Flop:

Turn:
A♥
Villain checks.
What do you do?
We see him limp and then call out 2,6 BB raise, he can have a wide rnage of hands here, we see him check on the flop, which is standard to do whetehr your strong or weak to let the Pre flop agressor bet. We check back on the flop assuming we have showdown value with our A high against his big range of hands. When there comes an A on the turn we are very comfident that we are ahead when he checks to us again, he could be checking here with complete air as well as a K, gut shot hand or a turned flushdraw, however he could possibly be trapping as well with a turned straight if he have QT or trapping with trip jacks that he want to check-raise with, however I don't think he will take that line very often, so on the turn I would like to make a small 1/3 pot bet, so he can make calls with worse hands like a single K, a gut shot or even a small pocket pair if he doesn't believe me.

Decision 3 coming today :)

Hey ajax ;) Don't know your alias though :P
1st decision:
The blinds are 500/1000.
A player just sat at the table with a 43 BB stack. In middle position, he limps in.
Everyone else folds to you, in the cut-off.
You have 37 BB in front of you and A♣7♠ in your hands.
What do you do?
New player at the table limps, more often than not when people limps they have weak hands. So when we made than assumption I would make a 3x BB raise to put presure on on the bubble even though he covers us, however he will be crippled and in a bad spot to cash if he would lose all 37 BB we have, so not an easy spot for him.
With our raise we will find out if he is the type:
to limp-fold. Good result for us.
to limp-call. Fine result for us, we play with a medium strong hand in position against a passive opponent who is likely to be check-folding on a variety of flops.
to limp-raise. Bad but result, but no disaster. I believe he only will be trapping he a very small amount of the time, there are many more combinations of bad to medium strong hands that a weak player might limp, compared to the few combinations of hands like AA KK QQ that might be limmp-raising as a trap. If he raises we just folds and only lost 3 BB and still got a stack with same flexibility as before we made the 3x BB raise.
Overall I like to be agressive on the bubble and try built a stack against opponents who will play more passive and scared of not making the money, though I don't get out of line with big confontations. So I think this steal is a fine spot to go for.
