#UnibetBubble #Decision1

1st decision:

The blinds are 500/1000.

A player just sat at the table with a 43 BB stackIn middle position, he limps in.

Everyone else folds to you, in the cut-off.

You have 37 BB in front of you and A♣7♠ in your hands.

What do you do?

New player at the table limps, more often than not when people limps they have weak hands. So when we made than assumption I would make a 3x BB raise to put presure on on the bubble even though he covers us, however he will be crippled and in a bad spot to cash if he would lose all 37 BB we have, so not an easy spot for him.

With our raise we will find out if he is the type:

to limp-fold. Good result for us.

to limp-call. Fine result for us, we play with a medium strong hand in position against a passive opponent who is likely to be check-folding on a variety of flops.

to limp-raise. Bad but result, but no disaster. I believe he only will be trapping he a very small amount of the time, there are many more combinations of bad to medium strong hands that a weak player might limp, compared to the few combinations of hands like AA KK QQ that might be limmp-raising as a trap. If he raises we just folds and only lost 3 BB and still got a stack with same flexibility as before we made the 3x BB raise.

Overall I like to be agressive on the bubble and try built a stack against opponents who will play more passive and scared of not making the money, though I don't get out of line with big confontations. So I think this steal is a fine spot to go for.
