If the spring herb is the herald of spring time in Korea, the asparagus is a sign of spring in Western countries~
From ancient Greece to medieval France, royal families enjoyed having the asparagus, the king of the vegetable, in any period of history. Designated as the world’s top 10 food by WHO (World Heritage Organization), it contains a lot of vitamin A that helps to prevent skin from aging. It also contains 50 times more aspartic acid than bean sprouts. It was imported to Korea in 1970. Since then, it’s being harvested from 150 farms in regions including Gangwon, Jeju, Jeonnam, and etc. Oddly enough, I’ve somehow tried it when I’ve become an adult^^
