UK's biggest tournament in 2015 is about to kick off at the largest stadium in Scotland: the legendary Celtic Park will host Unibet Open Glasgow!
Poker is thinking BIG these days - big stars, big fields, big venues. Across the Atlantic, the WSOP staged the biggest tournament in history as the much awaited Colossus registered 22,374 entries. And when you are looking to attract the crowds and reinforce your public image and prestige as a sport, what better natural ally than football, with its armies of passionate fans and its pool of experienced and popular ambassadors. The biggest company in the industry recently signed two megastars of football:- Neymar Jr and Cristiano Ronaldo are the latest PokerStars Team SportsStars.
Unibet finds itself on the crest of both waves - the 'Big is Beautiful' and the football-themed one :) Unibet Open Glasgow will be the first major tournament to take place at the home of Scottish champions, Celtic F.C.. Celtic Park is one of the most iconic football stadiums in the world, and to celebrate this, Unibet will be hosting a Sports Legend invitational alongside the €1,100 Unibet Open.
Unibet Sports Legends Challenge
Both sides of the famous “Old Firm” (Celtic and Rangers) will be represented in the Sports Legends invitational which takes place on Saturday 6th June with former Dutch International and Rangers full back, @Arthur Numan joining former Celtic and Republic of Ireland international turned poker shark, @Tony Cascarino. Other sporting legends attending include footballers @Rob Lee and @Pat Nevin , along with ex-England cricketer, @Graeme Swann.
Streaming
The Unibet Sports Legends event will be streamed live on June 6th at 15.30 CET via Unibet Poker’s YouTube and Twitch channels. All four days of the €1,100 Unibet Open main event will also be streamed live with hole cards shown throughout:

So who's up for some sports-betting side action?.. Would be fantastic if we could get some professional tips from @Neil Channing but I'm sure the @Ace-High Poker Group have sports fans who can offer advice too - maybe @John Harley or @Jamie Renwick Maclean and @Tom Livingstone ;) And then we've got high-ranking players from the Grosvenor Leaderboard such as No3, @Julian Thew and No10, @Charles Chattha...

In the meantime my 1 euro bills are under lock and key, discipline is the lesson that keeps rearing it's head lately. Must get it right this time :P
If I had to just back 1 player for the whole event - it would probabally be... @B165L1Ck75 I often go with my heart on sports betting:)
I've heard of people getting banned from sports betting places because they win so much... I've never had that problem ! haha!
