Why Don’t More Women Play Poker?

The ratio of men to women in the world is about 1:1, but in the live poker world it's about 9:1. Many of the top women in poker want to see that change.

The goal of the article was to get some of the strongest female voices in poker to speak publicly about what sort of progress they'd like to see as far as more women playing and participating in poker.

Among the participants were Poker Hall of Famer Linda Johnson, women's all-time tournament money leader Vanessa Selbst, poker TV presenter Kara Scott, among others.

It was said in the article that women prefers playing online poker because they are being intimidated when playing live poker. Women are more comfortable playing online because they don't need to reveal their gender and they can play comfortably.
