1st decision:

The blinds are 500/1000.

A player just sat at the table with a 43 BB stack. In middle position, he limps in.

Everyone else folds to you, in the cut-off.

You have 37 BB in front of you and A♣7♠ in your hands.

What do you do?

First thing i'm doing is check out the stacks of BTN, SB and BB. The way that the Decision is phrased implies that they are all going to fold otherwise their stack sizes would influence our decision and bet sizing.It also implies that MP is going to either call or raise any action that we do.

I'm just going to minraise since we have a medium strength hand that will fair poorly against most 3bets so that we can fold  to a 3bet and lose the least chips but we seize the initiative in the hand at a cheap cost  and 3 of the 4 people to act  after us will be out of position for the rest of the hand.We also don't know if their are any ante's in operation , since they are not mentioned i assume that there are none making the pot less profitable to steal. 

    With 37BB effective stacks and MP already invested 1BB we'd have to raise to 3.5-4 BB to price out MP set mining us. By doing so though we would be creating a 6.5-7 BB pot that could induce any 5-15BB stacks still to act to shove . If we call that shove , we are likely to be behind and do hefty damage to our own stack.We are pot committed to call up to ~8BB shove and hate doing so.

   By min raising , we get others to fold since they will be worried about a/ our position b/ our stacksize likely having them covered and c/our portrayed handstrength. We also make it cheap for the perceived fishy player in MP to call the extra BB and get to play against him with a strong hand image and positional advantage.

   If MP min 3bets then I think its an easy call and play a flop with position against him, If he does a normal 3 bet to 6-7BB I think it then becomes a fold. Limp 3bet is usually a strong hand played by a fish worried that they will get folds if they open raise  instead of limping.IF MP calls then our intentiuon is to cbet most flops and hopefully take the pot down.
