Eugene Katchalov is most notably known for winning the Doyle Brunson Five Diamond World Poker Classic in 2007 for nearly $2.5 million: the biggest prize in a non-championship event in WPT and Katchalov's biggest cash to date.He has won close to $3 million from other World Poker Tour events. He owns a WSOP bracelet and came very close to capturing an EPT title in the Season 10 Deauville Main Event, when he finished second.
Eugene was born in Kiev, Ukraine and moved to the United States with his family when he was 10. He majored in Finance and International Business at NYU and worked as a stock market trader before taking up poker professionally in 2003.
Before playing with the "E.Katchalov" nickname as a Team PokerStars Pro, he was known as "MyRabbiFoo".
