Play Ends With 29 Players, Joshua Turner in the Chip Lead
Taylor Paur
Taylor Paur Goes For Bracelet #2 Tomorrow
It took just over ten hours to reach the money in today's $3,000 H.O.R.S.E Day 2, and after a full 12 hours of play, only 29 are left. The man in the pole position right now is Joshua Turner, who bagged up an impressive 380,000 in chips. Turner saw a big boost to his stack when he made two pair in stud against Richard Sklar late in play tonight. Right on his heels are Andrew Barber (372,000), and Taylor Paur (342,000).
If you were hoping for a ton of big names to make it deep in this bigger buy-in mixed game event, you won't be disappointed. Amongst the crowd who are still alive and vying for this bracelet are Randy Ohel (328,000), David Benyamine (320,000), Allen Kessler (263,000), John Racener (259,000), Marco Johnson (200,000), Joe Hachem (144,000), and Mike Leah (61,000).
A majority of the players who busted today did not make the money. Included on this list were Phil Hellmuth, Maria Ho, Paul Volpe, Brian Rast, Bruno Fitoussi, Jonathan Duhamel, Rep Porter, Barry Greenstein, David Singer, Matt Savage, and more. Ryan Tepen (35th), Chris Wallace (32nd), and David Bach (31st) busted after the money bubble burst.
Action will resume again tomorrow at 2 PM, and the plan is to play down to a winner tomorrow. If after ten levels of play, a winner has not yet been determined, the remaining players will have the option to play an 11th level. If a winner still isn't decided after that, the players will bag up and return on Friday to determine the victor. As always, Wsop.com will have all of your live updates, so be sure to come back tomorrow for the exciting conclusion!
