SCOOP 2016: The overnight winners (and more winners)

If there's a problem with SCOOP, aside from we've yet to win one, it's the tendency we railbirds have of missing out on some of the results, given that there are so many of them. With 55 events, and three tiers for each, the overnights results come through in not a trickle, but a flood - 12 alone yesterday.

That's why we created the SCOOP results page, which has all the details you'll need, including links to each of the final table reports, although reading just the 12 from yesterday will set you back considerable time.

So allow us to provide a short recap of the most recent results.

There was a first South African winner in SCOOP 26-L. SONGJOY took the honours and a first prize of $11,864. In the High version of that event, won by ekziter, Stephen Chidwick came close to a second bracelet within as many days, finishing in fifth place.

SONGJOY was in full voice in SCOOP 27-M, narrowly missing out on a South African SCOOP binge, when he came second. This result, behind eventual winner Supa4real, eclipsed his winning prize money, this one worth $92,246.

Team Online's Adrienne Rowsome reached fifth place in SCOOP 28-L (FL Triple Draw 2-7) in an event won by AintNoSun of Austria.

Then in SCOOP 28-M Matt "plattsburgh" Vengrin, a regular winner when it comes to big events on PokerStars, added a SCOOP title (and $17,000) to his record that already features two WCOOP titles.

In SCOOP 28-H Nick "TheTakeover" Schulman won the triple draw title and $65,500, ahead of a final table featuring Marco 'NoraFlum' Johnson, Yuri 'theNERDguy' Martins, Ronny '1-ronnyr3' Kaiser, krakukra, and Paul 'paulgees81' Volpe.

Follow the highlighted links to check out the results page for all the latest box scores.

For everything else check out the SCOOP 2016 homepage, which features details of the events already played and those still to come. You'll also find the latest standings in the Player of the Series contest, the top ten of which look like this:

Much like the abundance of results, there are plenty of names listed here to talk about. SixthSenSe19 and Shaundeeb are putting space between them and third place Andy McLEOD. Vovtroy is not far behind, and as if to prove that poker were a skill game, the list of names beneath them speaks for the quality of the competition.

Find all the SCOOP standings, for each tier of competition and combined, on the SCOOP leader board page.

Until tomorrow, when we'll no doubt have more of the same.
