I have been Neglecting playing my hands over the past 4 or 5 days, not really due to any fault of my Own, I Won a Seat to the WPT Deepstack over the weekend which absorbed a tonne of my time, I Enjoyed playing the £330 tourney which is well above my bankroll but hey a ticket is a ticket. We Bust in level 12 of day 1. L
So, Tonight I went down to my Local Casino Grosvenor Casino Riverside in Salford. Unfortunately no cash game got started tonight due to lack of players. I Booted up my Laptop and played a few thousand hands. Like the Post before I got absolutely crushed [I have inserted the Session Graph Below]
What I really want to highlight about this session and what caused me to write this post is that the guy who was sat with me said “ Have you Turned On lose Mode” Whilst Playing so Many Tables, I Hadn’t Really noticed that I was running worse than an Extra who has an injury in the Walking Dead.
Looking at my style of play, Iv’e managed not to tilt any money off Iv’e just been Coolered a Tonne and I’d be happy to take some spots. Iv’e Played more of a TAG Style 13/10 Rather than the 15/13 I was playing before.
What I have done is looked through my hands on the session, And I thought this could be a good time to highlight why bankroll management is so key in this game.
A Brief Overview of Hands that I looked at;
I Ran Kings into Aces after I 4 bet on a 732 Rainbow. And he just shoves after I have committed myself with a Cbet.
I Ran Middle Set into Top set Twice and Bottom Set into Middle Set Once. The Above is A loss of 4 Buyins Already.
The One Time I Managed to get Aces in pre the Other guy had Aces! We Even got the Sweat! BrickBall River.
Probably the Most Annoying hand of the Session, I Flat a 3 bet with Queens from an Unknown, and get it in on a Queen high flop to no Avail. [Attached Image Below]
What Am I trying to highlight here is that we got the money in very good in lots of spots, This is known as Variance, You need a Bankroll to be able to ride out these Swings. Not just the swings but the roundabouts too. It May look like I am having a little bit of a moan, and I probably am right now. [All Poker Players Moan]
I Have dropped below 25buyins for the level that I am playing 10NL Which is probably a little risky, and if we drop below 20BI I think I will drop to 5NL [Which Will Suck]
