As evidenced by a recent (yet another!) thread on 2+2, which was instantly propelled near the top of the most popular News&Gossip forum, we never tire of the topic and love to hate our villains.
Years after Black Friday, anger and resentment seem as deep and absolution remains as remote as ever. The poker community can neither forget nor forgive the crimes of those who brought about the downfall of the industry in the U.S. and a worldwide decline that has never been reversed.
The icons of Full Tilt Poker still top the most hated lists, usually in the company of their fellow 'anti heroes' from Ultimate Bet.
Yet (as also confirmed in the said 2+2 thread), many younger or more recent poker recruits are not necessarily familiar with all the facts and may be puzzled by the inclusion of some of the names. As a European and a latecomer to poker, I wasn't even aware of Black Friday at first. I was actually quite taken with "the Professor' and his little sister (and my namesake!) when I first took up the game more seriously. I still remember my shock when I realized they were universally despised as some of the worst wrongdoers in poker :)
