#Mystery55

I was playing the online satellite MPNPT Facebook at 32 Red Poker, the prize was tickets to the next stage. We were about an hour into the tournament, playing tight; at my table everyone was playing the same way.

My cards: 5♠5♥

In round 1, pre-flop, I (advoghado32) called from the small blind - 50

Blinds 50/100; pot: 300

The flop: 2♠4♣5♦
Advoghado - check

JAr0o32 - bet 250

eky2 - called 250

advoghado32 - raised to 500

JAr0o32 - folded

eky2 - called 250

ROUND 3:
The TURN: 2♦

advoghado32 - checked

eky2 - checked

The RIVER: 3♥

advoghado32 [guess what I did]

What do you think I did? What would YOU have done?

first thing i'd do is ask why eky2 has not acted first like he was supposed to , or ask advogado why he checked out of turn . Probably a typo , so i'll assume that eky checked first . With 1300 in the pot i don't see any  reason to check behind. if we assume that obn the flop he had small overpairs, 3x and smaller sets I think checking behind on the turn is losing value. All of that range is going to call a bet at least and can't really see anything that folding.checking behind gives him a free look with his overpairs at hitting a better boat than you and his boats are calling  or raising any bet that you make. I'd probably have bet 750 to keep building the pot to about 2800

Again , having to assume that eky checked , and since you checked behind turn i think that if he had 22 here , or a boat he would have lead out on the river for fear that you would just check behind on the river as well. With a pair on the board he may elect to call any reasonable bet you make with his straights/overpairs incase you shoved over his bet so that he might have to fold in his eyes the best hand..I think that you probably went for value and bet around 1000 chips . If you'd bet 70 on turn  eky would only have 2695 chips left with a pot of 2800. You could then  bet 2000 chips here and get called by straights and get shoved over by smaller boats and posibly by his tiop end straights as well  i.e 6x or 67. Ax will probably fold to a shove fearing 6x at least and not wanting to go out  on such a wet board with lots of hands that beat his Ax.
