Good luck to you @Ajax

6th decision:

This is a new hand.

You are on the bubble now. Just one short of the money!

As usual at this time, most of the players will fold anything, the short stacks try to hold on as long as possible… and it lasts for ages…

Until this one hand where the player on the Button limps in on your big blind. He has 25BB in his stack.

As far as you know, he has qualified via a satellite tournament, and he is a very tight player who hasn’t played a hand for 2 hours.

The woman in the Small Blind folds.

So you are in the Big Blind. You hold 5♣Q♦ and your stack is 25BB. The exact same amount as the villain.

A bit tired, you casually tap the table and dully say, “Check”.

FLOP:

5♠5♥K♥

This is the kind of board that wakes you up immediatly!

His eyes hidden behind his sun glasses, villain pushes all his chips in the middle and says “All In”.

What do you do?

This guy hasn't played a hand for 2 hours. So does this guy have something now, or does he pretend to have one. We have Q5 in our hand. Luckily we have a queen in our hand and not a card like 2 or 3, and that makes the breakthrough for a call here. Now hope the guy made a bluff or had a hand like J5. There is also a possibility he has a flush draw, then we hope he will not get any hearts.

#UnibetBubble #Decision6

Till Wednesday you have time to accumulate likes and chage your position in the Leaderboard.

5th decision:

The blinds are still 500/1000.

In UTG+1, a player who likes to see a lot of flops opens with 2.2BB. He has 30,000 chips in his stack.

UTG+2, with a 90BB stack, calls.

You have now 34BB. In the BB position, you call with J♦8♦.

FLOP:

10♠3♦Q♦

You check.

Villain UTG+1 bets 5,000 chips.

UTG+2 folds.

You call.

TURN:

6♥

You both check.

RIVER:

9♣

You are first to speak.

What do you do?

In this situation you know you probably have the best hand, so a check raise would be an option. If the oppenent hasn't got anything he probably wont call any bets. So if he checks it don't make any difference. But I think I would make a bet here. Not a very huge bet, so the oppenent would probably call if he got at least a pair of queens or tens for example. He wouldn't want to loose the pot by a not to big bet. So I would make a bet like 7500.

and now it's time for decision number 6 :)

4th decision:

This is a new hand.

A few minutes after the one you played previously. Now there are only 2 players to bust before the bubble.

What do you do?

This is a nice flop for a suited hand. One diamond and bingo. There is also a little straight draw, so I would make the call. If no diamond appears on the turn, then let's hope the oppenent checks. If he again raises I would make the fold. If we lose we still have enough chips left for a new hand.

#UnibetBubble #Decision4

3rd decision:

The blinds are 500/1000.

A player just sat at the table with a 43 BB stackIn middle position, he limps in.

Everyone else folds to you, in the cut-off.

You have 37 BB in front of you and A♣7♠ in your hands.

You raise 2.6BB.

Villain calls.

Flop:

J♦ K♥ J♠

You both check.

Turn:

A♥

Villain checks.

When you put 3,000 chips in the middle, villain instantly calls.

River:

9♦

And again, villain checks.

What do you do?

Villain instantly calls the bet on the turn. This could mean he has a good hand, but he could also pretend he has one. The check on the river makes it more complicated. This check could mean that he knows he has the best hand and wants the other player to bet, so he will raise or make a shuv thereafter. Or he has not the best hand, but a good hand and want the other player to bet and then make a call. This complicated situation bring some risk to bet. But what's poker without risks. I think that me as a player would or make a little bet like 2bb or a check. This different is caused by the time this tournament is played or some drinks :P. As a fictional player I would make a check.

Imagine: You are close to the bubble in the Unibet Open Cannes. There are only 3 players to bust out before getting to the money!

2nd decision:

The blinds are 500/1000.

A player just sat at the table with a 43 BB stackIn middle position, he limps in.

Everyone else folds to you, in the cut-off.

You have 37 BB in front of you and A♣7♠ in your hands.

You raise 2.6BB.

Villain calls.

Flop:

J♦ K♥ J♠

You both check.

Turn:

A♥

Villain checks.

What do you do?

The first check of VIllain could mean different things. He could have a jack in his hand or not. The second check is a more interesting check. He could still slowplay the hand, but he could also make a little raise by then. The check could mean some weakness.

The turn is an interesting turn, and now you have to be very conscious. There is now a chance on a flush draw on the river and the turn made a straight possible. In this situation I will bet. Not a very huge bet, if villain raises big I would fold. If he calls, and there will be a flush draw, I would bet big after the river. I like to play a bit aggresive and the big bet could resemble that you have a straight or better.

Villain calls the raise preflop. This could mean he has a hand like pocket eights or pocket nines for example. The raise on the turn would then probably make him fold the hand.

I would raise 2500. You have too much bb's left to shuv. There is a high chance you will win this hand, but a loss is not so bad, 37BB is a pleasant stack to play with.
