#Aspers88

Good afternoon, Good Evening, Good Morning, GoodNight Ranking Hero.

I have not been active in a while due to having alot to do. I seen an advert in the Ace High Poker Group for hand analysis and to me it is an open and shut case. What I will do is explain my thought process.

We have arrived at Aspers Casino and have been seated at our table. The announcement comes from the tournament director telling the dealers to shuffle up and deal.

This is the very first hand of the tournament.

You’re on the button.

The man right across the table from you, in middle position, opens with 3 BB. Sunglasses on and a hoodie pulled over his head, he hasn’t said a word since you sat down. He did not even reply to your “Hello gentlemen! Good luck”, when you arrived.

Everyone folds.

You find yourself holding 8♦8♣.

You call his 3 BB bet.

The flop comes

8♥9♥A♠

With a grin, your opponent pushes his tall stacks forward with both hands, spilling chips all over the table.

He places both palms on the table and leans over towards you, still grinning. You can feel him staring you down behind his dark glasses.

Now the whole table looks at you.

What do you do?

The answer is simple it is very hard to get a pair preflop never mind to flop a set with it. This will happen on a very rare occasion. The opponent mostly never will be going all in on the flop with top set. Pocket 9s would be a probability here and simply would be in poker terms a cooler. Our hand is too strong to fold and most times our opponent is going to turn up with AK or even A9. There is a great chance he turns up with 10h Jh and is looking to get all his chips in on a huge draw. Just because we have travelled and we have played only one hand should never make you consider folding here. You are there to win the tournament and decisions like this are simply part of the game. GET YOUR CHIPS IN AND PRAY TO HOLD !!

Hello Mark, nice to see u :) good luck
