He was a Team PokerStars Pro for five years, until September 2014. Joe Cada won his second bracelet in a No Limit Hold'em event in the 45th Annual World Series of Poker, 2014.

Joe Cada is among the active promoters of poker and its legalization, advancing the view that "Poker isn't gambling. It's a hobby, an activity, a game. It's not about luck—it's about logic, decision-making, math."
