Erik Seidel is a professional poker player who has won a World Poker Tour title and eight WSOP bracelets. One of his final hands - the one where he ended up runner-up against Johnny Chan in 1988, was featured in the famous poker movie Rounders. To date, he has amassed nearly 23,000,000 dollars in live tournament winnings. He was inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame in 2010.

Seidel has a total of 81 WSOP cashes, which ranks him second all-time. Before taking up poker professionally, he used to be a backgammon player and a stock market trader.
