Hello,
I dont even imagine I had THE genius idea for your project. But just in case.
The Tournament Director software provides direct results export for various websites as Poker DIY, Home Poker Tour, StatsGenie, The poker leaderboard and now Hendon Mob.
Having a true centralized user database is a great thing for Tournament Organizers.
- There's only 1 website to register (as the digitick.com system for shows)
Players dont spread around websites and stay on RKH after they buy-in to do community activities.
Organizers have an easy-to-use system to retrieve the player list and upload the rankings (you just need to think about a settings template for The Tournament Director to optimize the information you want to relay on RKH)
The results importing is now automated (with a powerful script the devteam will enjoy to make =)
Local community activities will grow on RKH
You can monetize the process by taking a fee on buy-in (This should be an organizer-side fee. Technically it cant lead to a buy-in amount raise if your fee is well calibrated in regard of the buy-in amount)
- The user database on RKH will grow very fast
Every player registered in a tournament gets his profile created (This needs you retrieve at least First Name, Last Name, Nickname, Gender, Date of birth and Nationality to make every profile unique, and then think about a merge function with the possibility of unmerge in case of same name, nickname, gender, date of birth and Nationality (a 98/2 on the turn is still not a winning hand)
The rankings will be always up to date, and then more accurate.
I dont have more ideas right now but in regard of these elements, you may should think about working with Corey Cooper (The Tournament Director), to make an export template for RKH.
Sorry for my not so good english =)
Regards,
Boris Mauboussin
