The record-breaking field of 7,977 in the Millionaire Maker #WSOP8 is now drawing to an end. Winner is going to get $1,319,587!
Here is an interesting hand that took out UK's @Andrew Teng in fourth place. Teng moved all in from the small blind and was called by @Jonathan Dimmig out of the big blind with 2♠ 2♣ :
The turn was Q♥ and the board looked good for Teng, but the river took the pot to Dimmig:
Annie RKH 4 Jun 2014
And Dimmig does it again - his pocket 4s were saved from a terrible turn card by the 6♣ on the river and he doubled up in chips against @James Duke
In fact, they are hardly 'guests' and probably feel quite at home in the @Rio Amazon Room. @James Woods and @Jennifer Tilly have long established themselves in the poker world and have good live tournament track records, going as far back as 2004-2005. They are WSOP regulars and are now in Las Vegas for the #WSOP2014 . We hope we will soon have to update their player stats with new cashes :)
Both played the record-shattering (7,977 entries!) #WSOP8 Millionaire Maker event. James Woods gave an interview to Bluff Magazine, and Jennifer Tilly talked to F5poker about all things WSOP, bracelet hunting, and more:
And if you need a small break from poker, here are two movies in which you can watch them both:

It's been a whole week since a shower of dollar bills marked the start of the first #WSOP2014 event and we have seven happy winners:
Together they have earned $2,255,783 and 7 bracelets, which for the third consecutive year, have been designed by Jason of Beverly Hills:
The full #WSOP schedule is on RankingHero and all the results of the first seven events are up :)

2013 PCA champion @Dimitar Danchev has long been Bulgaria's Number 1 poker player by live winnings ($3,185,400). He enters Day 3 of the #WSOP6 Texas Hold'em No-Limit Shootout $1,500 buy-in as one of the twelve finalists and the only non-US based player.
The winner stands to pocket $259,211 of the total $1,279,800 prizepool. #BGPoker fans are rooting for Danchev to take over in the Shootout from his fellow Bulgarian and friend, reigning champion @Simeon Naydenov who won his #WSOP bracelet in this very same event in 2013:

Dimitar Danchev will face some tough competition, with no less than three WSOP bracelet winners at his table - @Shawn Busse (2010) @Alex Bolotin (2009), and the favorite, two-time bracelet winner, in 1999 and 2005, @Josh Arieh:
If we can't play the WSOP, we can fantasize about it and that's what much of the poker community has been doing in the past week, including the bracelet-hunters themselves - read about the 25K WSOP Fantasy Draft.
We are proud to host the WSOP Fantasy League of BluffEurope and you can check out and comment on the five teams, including the one of our own co-founder, RankingHero ambassador, and BluffEurope contributor, @Nicolas Levi.
Elsewhere in the world - we cheered for Davidi Kitai in the Winamax SisMix, and @Robert Notkin who emerged the winner in the Canada Cup Main Event after a never-seen-before four-way all-in at the final table.
Warm welcome to all of our new members, among whom @Alban Messe @Pierre Antona @Patrick Sacrispeyre @Akin Tuna, and many, many others!
Special thanks to all of our active members for sharing their high & low poker moments and lessons learned and for taking part in the weekly VegasHero missions - @Wassim DERBALI @ Buffledoux @Pyjol @Fioko and @nicolas "petzouille67" Esslinger, to mention only a few :)
Hope to see you on Facebook as well, and looking forward to hearing from you,
Yours truly,

Great news A♠ GG Vanessa !

The Mixed Max - Third Most Expensive Buy-In Event in 2014 WSOP
It's that time of the poker year again and no pro or fan of the game can stay immune to the #WSOP fever. If we can't play, we can fantasize about it and fantasy leagues are everywhere - on forums, social media and even in high-stake events involving some of the foremost bracelet hunters themselves (see The 25K WOSP Fantasy Draft at the Aria on May 26th).
Our friends from Bluff Europe are joining the fantasy draft fun and have started a WSOP #fantasy league of their own. Bluff Europe editor-in-chief Michael Casseli has promised a morning off for each bracelet won by a drafted player and a week's holiday for picking the Main Event winner :) Joining them fifth, as the 'league fish' ;) is our own co-founder, RankingHero ambassador and BluffEurope contributor, @Nicolas Levi, who couldn't refuse the challenge of picking last.
We are very happy to welcome @Eve Goodman (editor), @Dan Gallagher (Publishing Director), and @Tom Victor (writer) on RankingHero. You can comment, praise and/or criticise their choice of players on their RKH profile pages!

I have to say having @Phil Hellmuth or @Vanessa Selbst sounds sweet right now!
Who's next to score I wonder?
I have vowed many times to stop reproducing the easy phrase 'best female player' when writing about @Vanessa Selbst, who is 'possibly the best No-Limit Tournament player on the planet – man or woman' (to quote @Phil Hellmuth).
In addition, the two-time bracelet winner (2008 and 2012) is unanimously recognized in the poker community as an excellent heads up tournament player with a great track record in high roller events. Vanessa is about to enter Day 3 (four-handed play) in the #WSOP2 Mixed Max 25K buy-in event. This is what she tweeted after she took the chip lead on Day 2:
Here is Vanessa's track record in 25 K (USD and Euro) high rollers since 2011:
2011 - 6th place in the NBC Heads Up Poker Championship, for $75,000
2013 - 1st place in the PCA 25K High Roller, for $1,424,420
2013 - 4th place in EPT Monaco 25K High Roller , for $376,869
And most recently, 4th place in the 2014 PCA High Roller, for $607,580.
On Day 3 of the Mixed Max, Vanessa Selbst will be facing tough opponents at her Table 354 in the Amazon Room at the @Rio - none other than @Justin 'JC' Cuong Van Tran , @Noah Schwartz and @Robert Tepper. It would be too much to hope for another four-way all-in as the one we witnessed yesterday at the Canada Cup Main Event Final Table, but it is certain to be a great show in any case!

This morning the news in live poker does not come from Vegas and the WSOP, but from Montreal and the Canada Cup Main Event. You've never seen anything like it - a final table in a major live tournament that draws out for nine hours and then dramatically ends in a two-minute #PokerHand with a four-way all-in!
The board...
And the winner is....
@Robert Notkin, who qualified on PokerStars in a $30 satellite is the new PokerStars Canada Cup Main Event Champion, adding $ 354,379 to his previous live tournament earnings of $35,753. GG :)
