Skilful

My tickets have arrived! (that I won in the bet365 competition).

In time for the weekend, which is...

My tickets came as MTT tickets, which means I am going to be playing some MTT's to convert them into cash. In my mind I had set myself a month or two before I 'switch' to MTT's.

Because I definItely plan on learning MTT's properly for #BOM .

But I'm actually really pleased with how things have worked out. Why was I waiting so long to start honing my MTT skills? Fear of breaking out of my comfort zone that's why! I know basics of mtts:

- Decently tight ranges for early phases.

- Have some understanding of push fold for shallow stacks.

- Have an idea about ICM for getting near the money.

Hell I even grinded a tonne of 45mans about 6 months ago when I learnt MTT's for the first time as I knew eventually I would need to be a good MTT player to realise my poker ambitions. Most of my current MTT strategy I picked up from Asaban on Pokerstrategy in a 5 part video course I took. So I'm not a complete novice.

Time to stop looking at this tournament MTT bull

and instead take it by the horns!!

I'm looking forward to this. The good thing about having MTT tickets also, is it creates nice start and finish goals for a mini challenge. So my new challenge right now will be to play all of my tickets.

I have: -

1 x 50
5 x 30
7 x 10, and
6 x 5

I'm going to share my challenge with you heros by writing a brief post with an update after each tournament I play towards this challenge, and I'm going to call the challenge

#mttbythehorns :)

My next step after I've eaten will be to prepare my setup. Find my MTT charts...

Setup twitch on a small tv next to my pc so I can enjoy watching twitch while I'm on my grind (and learn a tonne I hope from awesome MTT players at the same time).

and... Install HM2 (I haven't used a tracker in over a year! As i've been playing on Unibet).

My food is going cold, but I couldn't wait to tell you guys about my plan so I'll finish here and go eat :)

but then again... :)

MAYBE NOT!

I have

IN MY SIGHTS

Hey everyone! Congratulations if you entered the recent bet365 competition and won a prize.

I was very fortunate to win 1st place which was very lucky for me, and I want to wish everyone that took part and won a prize congratulations! Also I have been running a bankroll challenge for 1 month. My bankroll was at 210 euros but took a hit recently (last two days) which set it back to 90 euros.

So now I'm going to move my challenge over to bet365 once I receive my tickets and use my 90 euros I have left on Unibet for some real life expenses. The really cool thing about this is I will be able to use a HUD which I haven't used for ages (as unibet don't allow huds) to work on my game.

I'm looking forward to making some progress with my game and think the change of site will be refreshing for my game too.

My target is to double my bankroll but with no timescale attached, just to play very good poker the best I can play whenever I play.

My first task will be to convert the tickets from whichever format they come in to cash, and then to play cash poker with them.

I'm looking forward to keeping a weekly update here to let you know how it's going! Good luck at the tables :)

Thanks Remi i was playing in cash game because this is what I've spent a long time studying. But it depends on which tickets I receive. Elena is going to check with bet365 and see what they can do (i've asked for 10nl cash tickets, or 5-10nl mtt tickets if no cash tickets available, if possible) - as i want to follow good bankroll management, and take this very fortunate prize to the stars over the next year or so:)

But I do need to seriously start working on my mtt game soon to get ready for Malta! So within 2 months I'll be switching pretty much to mtts i think, for the time being I'm much more confident in cash games though!

thanks Adrien!
