and also the november 9 final table would be cooler if it had a celebrity on it, so.. i say yes.

Do i really think there will be one on there... no. BUT I'm going with my heart on this one... so just for clarity...

my answer is YES. There will be a celebrity on the November final 9 table..... wooooooo exciting 

So how many Europeans will be on the final table of WSOP!!! 

What a cool question. Got me realising I don't know much geography (my geography is reallly bad!) 

So I started by getting an idea for how many Europeans there are in the world..

So currently Europe is about 10% of the world's population. 

Really interesting to note that projections are that % of world population that will be European in 150 years will be halved! The only two regions that are showing a projected increase in 150 years compared with today are Latin America (0.8%) and Africa +8%!

So a nice little lesson in world population I now know Europeans account for about 10% of the world population and Asia accounts for a whopping 60% of the world total population. Thanks to this competition. 

So based on this I could make a very rough estimate and say 10% of the final table will be European so one player out of nine. But this seems like a really bad estimate, because the whole world doesn't play poker. 

So I decided to take another tact using HeroScore :) 

I looked at the Hero Score table for WSOP all time earners here:

and I added up how many people in the top 100 were European. Now as I said at the top of this article my geography wasn't great! So I used this article to check the nationalities of the top 100 players to figure out if they were in Europe or not.

Along my travels I learnt that Russia is in Europe (yeah my geography really is / was that bad!!!! :P )

I also got to learn some flags (for anyone that wants to improve their flag / country knowledge I reccomend exploring these tables, it's kind of fun)

Also a surprising fact was that I found out that a huge 73! of the top 100 all time earners are American.

Finally I added up the total number of European in the top 100 of the Ranking Hero WSOP all time money list

So 16% of the top 100 all time earners for WSOP are European! 

So I'm going to round this up in the spirit of optimism and go for 2 Europeans on the final table!

Hey Ranking Hero, I'm planning on using HeroScore to benchmark my own progress soon, and I was just wondering what games qualify towards the 'earnings' column in the player ratings. Like what tournaments would qualify, and if it's not an auto tracked tournament can we send in manual confirmation of results. 

Also with Unibet - if I get confirmation from Unibet of lifetime profit / loss for the poker at some point - would that be eligible to be entered against earnings?

Here are the field sizes of WSOP over the past years and other major events: -

EPT,  WPT and PCA all decreased in size this year compared with last year, so I'm guessing WSOP is going to as well.
