very good

gg

yes...

I call!

The way we played the hand we may have induced a bluff on the river, his line is super strong... but we have trips with a decent kicker, it's true the river completed some straight draws and 46 just overtook us... but there's just too much money out there!!

I don't like our hand as much as I did on the turn... but I call.

Dont have me beat or i might have to go to the bar and drink for the rest of the day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thats the spirit :)

Thanks!!

Just wanted to say thanks to Betsson and Ranking Hero! My tickets arrived today from the Lifestyle promotion.

Will be playing tonight, and will update how it goes!

YEAH i'm on tv at last.. knew the perseverance would pay off!

So I'm sitting here with this

Who limps preflop and re-raises my flop bet.

The flop reveals

Q♠5♠4♣

You’re first to speak.
You bet 15,000.

Vilain raises to 30,000.
You call.

So what am I thinking here? He either has a draw, or he has smashed the flop, or was really stupid preflop.

Something like...

AA, KK, QQ,

some two pair with 45

AQo maybbbbbeeeee but kind of unlikely

A♠K♠

6♠7♠

and that's kind of about it

Then the turns come along... nice... to hit our

Card on the turn...

The turn is...

4♦

Your opponent donk bets 55,000.

You’re confident with your trips. You raise to 155,000.

It takes vilain less than 10 seconds to announce a 3-bet to 255,000!

OK so here's the deal let's take a look at ranges here.

I think it's fair to say this is the range the villian plays likes this...

He's got his overpairs which he's played terrrrrribly and is just going mental with now because he doesn't know what else to do.

He's got boats (queens full), boats (fives full), a possible AKs flush draw with the spades.. and a possible straight flush draw with 67s he's decided to go with. He's also got two pair on the flop  with 45, that has now turned into a full house (but given there's only one 4 left in the pack his combos of this are reduced quite heavily) Given that lot... Vs our hand... we still have over 58% equity.

Now it's true if he's good he wouldn't be playing his overpairs like this, even if he has limped them preflop - definatley not re-raising the turn, but it's equally true if he's really bad, he might still be playing top pair like this... so on balance I think our range against a random is ok.

So I shove the rest of my chips in as i'm going to be committed now come what may, and expect to win the majority of the time (just about! ;) ) - with all the money out there already it's a super easy re-shove in my opinion.

Are you in the big blind with 84o? What position is villain in?

I don't think you can profitably call the flop raise tbh.

@Arty Mcfly Tell Ranking Hero your idea! I didn't invent the action to the Turn!!!

@Elena RKH @Ina Rkh @Rémi Rkh

Oh, I've seen the original post now. Villain is in MP, hero is in the BB, as expected.

But the article says "villain donkbets the turn". That's impossible, because hero acts first. Call me a pedant, but I like hand histories to have some basis in reality. :/
